The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nils Josefsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Sundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sjötofta getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Valdemar Forsberg hit a great ball. Ola Hjeltman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Sundström in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nils Josefsson saved Sjötofta from getting behind. After some careless play in the Sjötofta defense, David Sundström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils Josefsson. The Sjötofta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Josefsson should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, David Sundström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Ola Hjeltman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Nils Josefsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Veinge BK's David Sundström got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ola Hjeltman took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils Josefsson. Nils Josefsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. A collision led to Veinge BK getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Lars Olofsson hit a great ball. Sjötofta's Mark Hellqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Veinge BK booed when Sjötofta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörgen Deckbergh didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Sjötofta's goal looked a bit too open when David Sundström came free, but Nils Josefsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes, Valdemar Forsberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sjötofta and the Veinge BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valdemar Forsberg hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Pelle Smed sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sjötofta's Nils Josefsson didn't even have to move.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mattias Hjälm was the one to do the kick off. Mattias Hjälm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Stenström having to interfere. If Bengt Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Bengt Lind cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Nils Josefsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yngve Stenström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Hellqvist in the 69th minute of play. Ola Hjeltman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes, David Sundström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Veinge BK and the Sjötofta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Veinge BK got a freekick which was hit by David Sundström. In the 83rd minute Mattias Hjälm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Stenström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Veinge BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Lind to maneuver through the defense. Veinge BK's David Sundström got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 94 played minutes Sjötofta got a freekick which was hit by Joar Pettersson. With a little luck, Sjötofta's Nils Josefsson got control of the ball when Ola Hjeltman tried to sneak it across the goal line.
