Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. David Sundström started the match with the kick off. When BK Merzog's Gösta Larsfält in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 7th minute, Reine Alén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Veinge BK's Yngve Stenström got control of the ball when Jan-Erik Tinglöf tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Jan-Erik Tinglöf recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yngve Stenström. Jan-Erik Tinglöf showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to BK Merzog getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Torbjörn Sjöö hit a great ball. After 30 played minutes, Veinge BK's Pelle Smed shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonas Hökqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Veinge BK reached it. Jonas Hökqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ola Hjeltman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Gösta Larsfält shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Stenström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BK Merzog's Jonas Hökqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Hjeltman in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Ola Hjeltman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jan-Erik Tinglöf to strike the kick off in the second half. Arvid Odman kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Veinge BK's goalkeeper Yngve Stenström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ola Hjeltman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veinge BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ola Hjeltman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Hökqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Erik Tinglöf in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yngve Stenström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Veinge BK booed when BK Merzog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Sjöberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reine Alén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Yngve Stenström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Erik Tinglöf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Stenström having to interfere. BK Merzog's Jan-Erik Tinglöf got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yngve Stenström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Tinglöf in the 78th minute of the match. Ola Hjeltman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Jonas Hökqvist made a huge save. Torbjörn Sjöö's late challenge caught a Veinge BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torbjörn Sjöö helped the player get up and apologised. Torbjörn Sjöö kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. BK Merzog's Jonas Hökqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Olofsson in the 88th minute of play. With his leg Jonas Hökqvist managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Veinge BK's Ola Hjeltman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 91 minutes, Knut Gernberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Merzog and the Veinge BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Knut Gernberg kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd match minute, BK Merzog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Knut Gernberg to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, BK Merzog's goal looked a bit too open when David Sundström came free, but Jonas Hökqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that BK Merzog were the better team. BK Merzog's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
