Spectators: 7119 (Terracing: 5449, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kent Haglund started the match with the kick off. Alf Askestät made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Thor Sävström sent off a good shot on target. When Lennart Rudkvist came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Vallberga BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lennart Rudkvist couldn't finish the play. Oskar Månsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Askestät having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Oskar Månsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alf Askestät. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart Rudkvist in the 18th minute of play forced Norrby IFK's goalkeeper Claes Bergvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claes Bergvall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Rudkvist in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vallberga BK's goalkeeper Alf Askestät, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Norrby IFK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Karl-Erik Nilsson hit a great ball. Vallberga BK's Joacim Fredriksson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Norrby IFK. Norrby IFK's Claes Bergvall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Rudkvist in the 32nd minute of play. Thor Sävström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thor Sävström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Månsson in the 46th minute of play forced Vallberga BK's goalkeeper Alf Askestät to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oskar Månsson was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Karl-Erik Nilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Vallberga BK's Lennart Rudkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claes Bergvall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alf Askestät showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thor Sävström, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 68 played minutes Vallberga BK got a freekick which was hit by Dan Hökqvist. Vallberga BK's Alf Askestät played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Lindgren in the 69th minute of play. After 72 minutes, Henric Finsberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vallberga BK and the Norrby IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Vallberga BK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Henric Finsberg hit a great ball. Jon Söderkvist hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Kent Haglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Claes Bergvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Norrby IFK's Marc Åkesson got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 80 minutes of play, Vallberga BK's Lennart Rudkvist made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claes Bergvall was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Vallberga BK's zone, Oskar Månsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alf Askestät came out of the goal and Oskar Månsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the match, Vallberga BK's goal looked a bit too open when Oskar Månsson came free, but Alf Askestät reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thor Sävström might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alf Askestät. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thor Sävström ran back to his position shaking his head. Vallberga BK's Alf Askestät played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oskar Månsson in the 93rd minute of play.
