The audience was convinced that Sivert Forssberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kennet Lång was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 5 minutes into the game, Knut Björkman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arild FK's Conny Borre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Arild FK from getting a goal against them. Alf Vidman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dan Öman charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Öman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dan Öman hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Marstrand FC's Jörn Bodin in action when he in the 18th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After 24 played minutes Claes Sandell rounded Arild FK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Kennet Lång took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Knut Björkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Tingelholm kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Arild FK were awarded a corner. Dan Öman went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Dan Öman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Marstrand FC's Kennet Lång did a great save. Arild FK's Conny Borre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Koch in the 35th minute of play. Jörn Bodin's late challenge caught a Arild FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jörn Bodin helped the player get up and apologised. Jörn Bodin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Kjell Wassenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claes Sandell was the one to do the kick off. Conny Borre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Vidman, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Sivert Forssberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claes Sandell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claes Sandell in the 64th minute of play forced Arild FK's goalkeeper Conny Borre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alf Vidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conny Borre having to interfere. Claes Sandell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conny Borre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Sandell, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Claes Sandell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Conny Borre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sivert Forssberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kennet Lång having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Knut Björkman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kennet Lång. Knut Björkman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Kennet Lång made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Björkman in the 90th minute of play.
