The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Partille if got a freekick which was hit by Åke Björk. Ivar Bodin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Nordström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee gave Partille if a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bengt Svartengren, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gyttorp's Lars-Erik Söderlund. 0-2. In the 26th minute Nicklas Fogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars-Erik Söderlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars-Erik Söderlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicklas Fogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ivar Bodin came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Gyttorp's Magnus Gunnarsson. But to his dismay, Magnus Gunnarsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 58th minute Magnus Gunnarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Bodin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Partille if's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Elg came free, but Ivar Bodin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Partille if was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Einar Berg to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Partille if's Karl-Åke Linqvist got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Olof Pettersson, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ivar Bodin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Elg in the 66th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes Gyttorp got a freekick which was hit by Åke Kling. In the 69th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Bengt Svartengren hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Gyttorp's goal looked a bit too open when Nicklas Fogel came free, but Lars-Erik Söderlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicklas Fogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Partille if booed when Gyttorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Kling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Markus Nordström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ivar Bodin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicklas Fogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Söderlund having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gösta Elg in the 93rd minute of play forced Partille if's goalkeeper Ivar Bodin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivar Bodin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Nordström in the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Partille if eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
