Dick Mellbad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Lundgren in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Sandarne FF's goal looked a bit too open when Niklas Lundgren came free, but Dick Mellbad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Hedvall in the 14th minute of play forced Sandarne FF's goalkeeper Dick Mellbad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Niklas Lundgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sandarne FF's Dick Mellbad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dick Mellbad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Ove Hedvall's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Dick Mellbad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niklas Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Helge Ugla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dick Mellbad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Lundgren in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Agne Askberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niklas Lundgren to make the kick off. Karl-Ove Hedvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Brännö BK's Jimmy Bokelund ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dick Mellbad. Dick Mellbad yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Karl-Ove Hedvall struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Dick Mellbad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brännö BK. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evert Björkkvist got free with Dick Mellbad in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute, Karl-Ove Hedvall made a precise shot to the right of Dick Mellbad. Sandarne FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 90 played minutes Sandarne FF got a freekick which was hit by Agne Askberg.
