The audience thought a goal was coming when Jesper Ålberg got free with Dick Mellbad in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Sandarne FF's zone, Torbjörn Blanck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After having played for 18 minutes, Jesper Hääger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandarne FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesper Hääger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oliver Hedman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Dick Mellbad made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Sandarne FF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Torbjörn Blanck fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Agne Askberg hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Torbjörn Blanck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dick Mellbad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Dick Mellbad successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torbjörn Blanck to make the kick off.
