Konrad Askberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Einar Ånger's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Jonas Blom lost his temper 16 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Vilgot Svensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alf Tidéksson during the 41st minute. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
