In the 5th minute Dan Bredberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Stenquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Georg Kinnman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Åsedas Återkomst fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Dan Bredberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell-Arne Stenquist having to interfere. Kjell-Arne Stenquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Arne Björk in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Skogås FK booed when Åsedas Återkomst was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magne Billvall didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Stig-Arne Björk came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Skogås FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Arne Björk couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Dan Bredberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Stenquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Skogås FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gottfrid Söderström to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Ove Brenner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Andersson in the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Åsedas Återkomst's Kent Andersson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Karl-Ove Brenner. Karl-Ove Brenner yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The audience was convinced that Dan Bredberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kjell-Arne Stenquist was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. The corner led Skogås FK's Torbjörn Berggren to fire away a dangerous shot which Kjell-Arne Stenquist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Kent Andersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Magne Billvall suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Kjell Stenman's late challenge caught a Åsedas Återkomst's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kjell Stenman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Skogås FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Stenman to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute Åsedas Återkomst were awarded a corner. Anthon Larsfält went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Åsedas Återkomst's Anthon Larsfält to fire away a dangerous shot which Karl-Ove Brenner despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Bredberg to make the kick off. Gottfrid Söderström kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Kjell Stenman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Skogås FK's goal looked a bit too open when Jarl Gabrielsson came free, but Karl-Ove Brenner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Stig-Arne Björk sped through Åsedas Återkomst's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kjell-Arne Stenquist.
