The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stig-Arne Björk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Wallander having to interfere. In the 14th minute of the match Jakob Göransson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Torbjörn Wallander showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Skogås FK's Kjell Stenman got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 21 minutes of play, Jackes Yrnallar FF's Stefan Blixt made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Ove Brenner was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the match, Jackes Yrnallar FF's Bernt Söderberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Ove Brenner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernt Söderberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Jackes Yrnallar FF's zone, Dan Bredberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torbjörn Wallander came out of the goal and Dan Bredberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Bernt Söderberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jackes Yrnallar FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Söderberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Ove Brenner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Jackes Yrnallar FF booed when Skogås FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gottfrid Söderström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes, Gottfrid Söderström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skogås FK and the Jackes Yrnallar FF players grew even worse after the yellow card.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernt Söderberg was the one to do the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Skogås FK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Patric Lööf succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. In the 83rd minute Stig-Arne Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torbjörn Wallander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Bredberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Torbjörn Wallander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torbjörn Wallander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig-Arne Björk's shot from short distance in the 100th minute. The Jackes Yrnallar FF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
