In the 2nd match minute, Borgstena IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Barck to maneuver through the defense. Rune Månsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Ödmann in the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Alvin Dalgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borgstena IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvin Dalgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Månsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lars Lindgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Månsson having to interfere. Sven-Ove Bröms's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rune Tillman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Rune Månsson came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Borgstena IK's Daniel Barck. But to his dismay, Daniel Barck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Ödmann in the 18th minute of play forced Edsvalla IK's goalkeeper Rune Månsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Barck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Månsson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Edsvalla IK's zone, Daniel Ödmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Månsson came out of the goal and Daniel Ödmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd match minute, Edsvalla IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viggo Ek to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Ödmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Månsson having to interfere. When Borgstena IK's Daniel Ödmann in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Edsvalla IK's goalie prevented a goal. After 41 minutes of play, Borgstena IK's Daniel Barck made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rune Månsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Ödmann in the 47th minute of play forced Edsvalla IK's goalkeeper Rune Månsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Sven-Ove Bröms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Tillman having to interfere. Daniel Ödmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rune Månsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Ödmann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 65 minute of play. Daniel Ödmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rune Månsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Viggo Ek's late challenge caught a Borgstena IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viggo Ek helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Borgstena IK booed when Edsvalla IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viggo Ek didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Daniel Ödmann came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Borgstena IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Ödmann couldn't finish the play. Daniel Ödmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Rune Månsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Edsvalla IK's zone, Daniel Ödmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Månsson came out of the goal and Daniel Ödmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rune Månsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. Borgstena IK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
