But to his dismay, Börje Walmarsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Thor Henriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ture Kullgren was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Humbug were furious when Konrad Thidén was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Börje Walmarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ture Kullgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Humbug's Ture Kullgren got control of the ball when Thor Henriksson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Knoxville Knockers's Thor Henriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Hjortsberg made a kick off. Thor Henriksson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ture Kullgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Thor Henriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
