An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Vallander in the 38th minute of play forced Assyriska FF's goalkeeper Josef Karlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Sven-Ove Örtendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Karlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Robin Erserman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Assyriska FF's Josef Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Ove Örtendahl in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Ove Örtendahl was the one to do the kick off. Josef Karlsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Ove Örtendahl in the 80th minute of the match. After 81 minutes, Robin Erserman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Assyriska FF and the utveklarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sven-Ove Örtendahl did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Josef Karlsson 98 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the utveklarna players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
