After 2 minutes, Algot Blom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Domstens IK and the Svalöv BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Algot Blom hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Domstens IK's Mårten Ekström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Domstens IK from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kasper Rosendal got free with Mårten Ekström in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Kasper Rosendal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Svalöv BF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Dan Björkdahl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kaj Allbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Dan Björkdahl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaj Allbom. Svalöv BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dan Björkdahl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 30 minutes into the game, Domstens IK's Osvald Holm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kaj Allbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Svalöv BF's zone, Malte Glanselius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaj Allbom came out of the goal and Malte Glanselius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isac Wallgren kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 36 minutes of play, Domstens IK's Dan Björkdahl made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kaj Allbom was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Osvald Holm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Svalöv BF's zone, Dan Björkdahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaj Allbom came out of the goal and Dan Björkdahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Domstens IK's Leo Askstedt got a free kick in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingemar Majman to strike the kick off in the second half. Dan Björkdahl who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Kaj Allbom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 59th minute Kasper Rosendal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mårten Ekström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domstens IK's Dan Björkdahl got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mårten Ekström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingemar Majman in the 67th minute of the match. Kaj Allbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Björkdahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dan Björkdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Domstens IK's Mårten Ekström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Bagge in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Svalöv BF booed when Domstens IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Björkdahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Domstens IK's Dan Björkdahl fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Kaj Allbom was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. After 84 played minutes Domstens IK got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Åke Pettersson. After 86 played minutes Svalöv BF got a freekick which was hit by Evert Trulsson. 90 minutes into the game, Bengt-Åke Pettersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Domstens IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Svalöv BF the free kick. After 90 played minutes Domstens IK got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Åke Pettersson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingemar Majman in the 94th minute of play forced Domstens IK's goalkeeper Mårten Ekström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Domstens IK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Svalöv BF a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jörn Ödman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Domstens IK's Mårten Ekström. 2-3.
