In the 11th match minute, Kåbdalis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rasmus Engman to maneuver through the defense. After 16 played minutes Kåbdalis got a freekick which was hit by Vidar Esbjörnsson. Kåbdalis's Henrik Bremming played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars-Erik Bammerman in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Kåbdalis's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Erik Bammerman came free, but Henrik Bremming reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrik Bremming made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Svensson in the 24th minute of play. Urban Lustig scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uno Harman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the game, Lars-Erik Bammerman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elfsborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kåbdalis the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Elfsborg's zone, Vidar Esbjörnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uno Harman came out of the goal and Vidar Esbjörnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henrik Bremming showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars-Erik Bammerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Kåbdalis's goalkeeper Henrik Bremming had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig-Arne Sandberg. In the 48th match minute, Kåbdalis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Bank to maneuver through the defense.

In the 53rd minute, Vidar Esbjörnsson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jens-Ola Dahlberg thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Uno Harman, a very annoying self made goal in the 55th minute which led to 0-2. Vidar Esbjörnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrik Bremming showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars-Erik Bammerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Urban Lustig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes in the game, Vidar Esbjörnsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Uno Harman having to interfere. Henrik Bremming took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars-Erik Bammerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Kåbdalis defense, Lars-Erik Bammerman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrik Bremming. The Kåbdalis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrik Bremming should have stopped the shot. Uno Harman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urban Lustig, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. A collision led to Elfsborg getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Orvar Willig hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Elfsborg players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
