An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Eliasson in the 7th minute of play forced Skillingaryd's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Lennart Lindholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Vallin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Hagberg charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Hagberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Corpus Christi FF getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Thomas Hagberg hit a great ball. Rune Eliasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Skillingaryd's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Sandström came free, but Jan-Erik Holmgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rune Eliasson struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Jan-Erik Holmgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corpus Christi FF. Jan-Erik Holmgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rune Eliasson went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Skillingaryd's zone, Rune Eliasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Erik Holmgren came out of the goal and Rune Eliasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gustav Erserman came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Skillingaryd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustav Erserman couldn't finish the play. Ingvar Vallin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustav Erserman in the 35th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stig Sandström to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Gustav Erserman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Vallin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Skillingaryd booed when Corpus Christi FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Asklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fredrik Vester during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Fredrik Vester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rune Eliasson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan-Erik Holmgren having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustav Erserman in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ingvar Vallin saved Corpus Christi FF from getting behind. Ingvar Vallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Vester in the 83rd minute of play. Rune Eliasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustav Erserman in the 91st minute of play forced Corpus Christi FF's goalkeeper Ingvar Vallin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st match minute, Corpus Christi FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Liljeström to maneuver through the defense. Lennart Lindholm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingvar Vallin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Gustav Erserman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Corpus Christi FF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
