Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lennart Lindholm took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Widberg in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Erik Holmgren saved Skillingaryd from getting behind. 5 minutes into the game, Adrian Svensson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MJklub's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skillingaryd the free kick. A collision led to MJklub getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Adrian Svensson hit a great ball. MJklub's Jörn Runberg got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 13th minute of the match Adrian Svensson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Adrian Svensson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 14 played minutes MJklub got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Svensson. Bernt Kielstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Skillingaryd booed when MJklub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Widberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Verner Hagström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Lennart Lindholm in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hugo Möller, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Jörn Runberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Fredrik Vester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Erik Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Runberg in the 33rd minute of play. Jörn Runberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan-Erik Holmgren having to make a save. In the 44th minute Lennart Lindholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Möller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustav Erserman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jörn Runberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gustav Erserman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Möller having to interfere. MJklub's Jörn Runberg got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Skillingaryd's Lennart Lindholm in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MJklub's goalie prevented a goal. 75 minutes into the match, MJklub's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Lindholm came free, but Hugo Möller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jörn Runberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gunnar Bolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
