Jan-Erik Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Söder in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Hans Sundberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skillingaryd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kuggavik BK the free kick. After 6 played minutes Skillingaryd got a freekick which was hit by Hans Sundberg. Jan-Erik Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Pettersson in the 8th minute of the match. Jan-Erik Holmgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patric Lindqvist's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. When Kuggavik BK's Lars Söder in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skillingaryd's goalie prevented a goal. Jan-Erik Holmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patric Lindqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Lars Söder came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Kuggavik BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Söder couldn't finish the play. Jan-Erik Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patric Lindqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Lars Söder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Erik Holmgren was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Pettersson in the 20th minute of play forced Skillingaryd's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Söder scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Erik Holmgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Kuggavik BK booed when Skillingaryd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Vester didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patric Lindqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Jan-Erik Holmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Pettersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Lars Söder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Erik Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patric Lindqvist scored 0-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Erik Holmgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute, Fredrik Vester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lars Söder to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Kuggavik BK's Jan-Erik Holmgren threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Peter Pettersson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 53 played minutes Skillingaryd got a freekick which was hit by Hans Sundberg. In the 55th minute of the match Kuggavik BK got a corner. Skillingaryd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Harald Dalkvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Skillingaryd's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Holmgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lars Söder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Holmgren having to interfere. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skillingaryd's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Holmgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Skillingaryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Lindholm to maneuver through the defense. Lars Söder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74 played minutes Skillingaryd got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Vester. After a rather tough play, Skillingaryd's Martin Kilstedt got a free kick in the 75th minute. Conny Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Erserman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Patric Lindqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan-Erik Holmgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 91 minutes into the game, one of Kuggavik BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Skillingaryd a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Verner Hagström, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kuggavik BK's Conny Martinsson. 1-3. In the 97th minute, Peter Pettersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
