Gustav Broberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Törnkvist having to interfere. When Eskil Wallander fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boden IFK's protests and gave Eskil Wallander a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute Sven-Olof Bäcklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Törnkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Gustav Broberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boden IFK's Jan-Åke Törnkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Boden IFK's Jan-Åke Törnkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Broberg in the 23rd minute of play. Jan-Åke Törnkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Olof Bäcklin went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Åkerberg during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Boden IFK booed when Fårbo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Åkerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Stig-Åke Emander took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Birger Jernberg to make any attempt to save it.

After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Roy Vollander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boden IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Vollander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birger Jernberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fårbo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
