A collision led to Mjöbäck getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Joakim Hake hit a great ball. Isak Hjortberg made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Jan-Ove Fribäck sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Dunkens FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Wallman came free, but Isak Hjortberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mjöbäck's Douglas Löfgren got a free kick in the 38th minute. Yngve Walmarsson scored 0-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesper Sjödin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christopher Wallman was the one to do the kick off. When Douglas Löfgren fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
