Spectators: 7155 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Malmö FF's Herman Kvick started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Tråvad IK's zone, Joakim Göransson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennart Söderquist came out of the goal and Joakim Göransson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Tråvad IK getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Nicklas Askelöf hit a great ball. Herman Kvick who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Lennart Söderquist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Tråvad IK booed when Malmö FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Finsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hjalmar Åberg came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Malmö FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hjalmar Åberg couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Malmö FF getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Herman Kvick hit a great ball. Valter Fors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Malmberg in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Hjalmar Åberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malmö FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tråvad IK the free kick. In the 19th minute of the match Jörgen Arhenius shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valter Fors showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Herman Kvick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leif Finsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Lennart Söderquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herman Kvick struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Lennart Söderquist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malmö FF. In the 40th minute, Herman Kvick left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malmö FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 45thth minute of the game Herman Kvick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tråvad IK's Lennart Söderquist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Leif Finsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ludwig Sjö stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Malmö FF's Leif Finsberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lennart Söderquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A hard shot by Olle Löfkvist from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Valter Fors's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Herman Kvick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Söderquist having to interfere. After 64 minutes, Herman Kvick made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tråvad IK's Lennart Söderquist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th minute, Leif Finsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Herman Kvick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Söderquist having to interfere. When Malmö FF's Herman Kvick, in the 72nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Malmö FF. Herman Kvick blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lennart Söderquist having to make a save. Herman Kvick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 80 minutes of play, Malmö FF's Herman Kvick made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lennart Söderquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Herman Kvick might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lennart Söderquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herman Kvick ran back to his position shaking his head. Lennart Söderquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Kvick, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Herman Kvick sped through Tråvad IK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lennart Söderquist. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herman Kvick in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lennart Söderquist saved Tråvad IK from getting behind. When Malmö FF's Herman Kvick in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tråvad IK's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herman Kvick in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lennart Söderquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Malmö FF fully deserved thier win.
