Spectators: 7123 (Terracing: 5452, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Karl-Oskar Kielstedt started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Oliver Asklöv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Sven Hansson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arne Sjöberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robin Winström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Borensberg's Robin Winström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Sundberg in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Holmsund's goalkeeper Sven Hansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oliver Asklöv. Oliver Asklöv sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Borensberg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Holmsund were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arne Sjöberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Borensberg defense, Jan Sundberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robin Winström. The Borensberg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robin Winström should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute Oliver Asklöv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Arne Sjöberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holmsund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Sjöberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Holmsund booed when Borensberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pål Arvidsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Winström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Sjöberg in the 67th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Mats Fredriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Asklöv, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Borensberg's Claes Nyberg got a free kick in the 85th minute. Sven Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Asklöv in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Andreas Widberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Holmsund's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
