After 21 played minutes Malmudden AIK got a freekick which was hit by Börje Pettersson. In the 23rd match minute, SkFc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Åhlberg to maneuver through the defense. Sören Wallin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Svensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Börje Åhlberg hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Elof Löfgren spun around in front of the goal 30 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SkFc's goal. Malmudden AIK's Per Linberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Olsmann in the 41st minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Nord to make the kick off. When Malmudden AIK's Kim Svensson in 80 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Sören Wallin guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Malmudden AIK were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
