In the 26th minute Sture Vollander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Abrahamsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Bäckman hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Ingemar Sjöman came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Veberöd IFK's Gunnar Finsberg. But to his dismay, Gunnar Finsberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Gunnar Finsberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ingemar Sjöman was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Mikael Hegg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Veberöd IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sture Vollander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Urban Blomqvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Freddie Abrahamsson. Veberöd IFK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mikael Hegg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingemar Sjöman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Hegg in the 66th minute of play forced Rundvik's goalkeeper Ingemar Sjöman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The coaching staff of Veberöd IFK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edvard Alebäck had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When Mikael Hegg came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Veberöd IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Hegg couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes into the game, Emil Bäckman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Freddie Abrahamsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Verner Wiberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingemar Sjöman having to interfere. When Josef Håkansson fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rundvik's protests and gave Josef Håkansson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Josef Håkansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Veberöd IFK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
