Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gilbert Skark sped through Nybro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivar Hellqvist. Ivar Hellqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Ekström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Allan Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivar Hellqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Skark in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Sture Alrot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nybro's supporters rose to their feet, but Sture Alrot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lukas Löfgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Mongolers IF's zone, Sture Alrot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lukas Löfgren came out of the goal and Sture Alrot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manfred Pålsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sture Alrot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Lukas Löfgren made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Gilbert Skark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivar Hellqvist was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Gilbert Skark blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivar Hellqvist having to make a save. A collision led to Nybro getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Hugo Sjöström hit a great ball. When Fabian Utter fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nybro's protests and gave Fabian Utter a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Nybro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mongolers IF:s goal. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Mongolers IF. Sune Beck stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ivar Hellqvist. 0-2. After the first half Mongolers IF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Nybro booed when Mongolers IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pontus Lindmark didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Sture Alrot notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mongolers IF's Lukas Löfgren. Lukas Löfgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lukas Löfgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sture Alrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Manfred Pålsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukas Löfgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sture Alrot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lukas Löfgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sture Alrot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lukas Löfgren having to make a save. Sture Alrot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukas Löfgren having to interfere. Lukas Löfgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Pålsson in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Sture Alrot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mongolers IF's Lukas Löfgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Nybro's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Skark came free, but Ivar Hellqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sture Alrot in the 88th minute of play forced Mongolers IF's goalkeeper Lukas Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mongolers IF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
