An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Axel Nyman in the 5th minute of play forced Önnestad IF's goalkeeper Joachim Lindholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joachim Lindholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Axel Nyman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingemar Sjöman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Björklund in the 10th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Josef Håkansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rundvik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Önnestad IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rundvik's Elias Lilja got a free kick in the 15th minute. Folke Åhlberg hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 0-1 became the score in the 20th minute when Sture Vollander elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Johannes Kling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johannes Kling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingemar Sjöman having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Folke Åhlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Önnestad IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Folke Åhlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingemar Sjöman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Önnestad IF's Joachim Lindholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Axel Nyman in the 37th minute of play. Karl-Axel Nyman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joachim Lindholm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sten Björklund made a kick off. If Sture Vollander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johannes Kling struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Ingemar Sjöman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Önnestad IF. Sture Vollander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Lindholm having to interfere. Johannes Kling blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingemar Sjöman having to make a save. When Sture Vollander came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Rundvik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sture Vollander couldn't finish the play. Önnestad IF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
