Henrik Bäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Örjan Pedersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Älvängen IFK's Ulf Alefors played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isac Svensson in the 42nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Ted Hamberg took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ulf Alefors to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isac Svensson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Älvängen IFK's Johan Clementsson got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Johan Clementsson off the ground. Ted Hamberg took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulf Alefors. If Manfred Brovall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Isac Svensson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulf Alefors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Hamberg in the 93rd minute of play. Inge Walmarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 96 played minutes zemaitijoss siaubai got a freekick which was hit by Isac Svensson. zemaitijoss siaubai walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
