Otto Vennerström came out of the goal and Conny Abelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 played minutes Solna Kickers United got a freekick which was hit by Claes Gunnarsson. After 18 played minutes, Västerås Heroes's Björn Hansson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edgar Niedbalski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Västerås Heroes reached it. 22 minutes into the match, Solna Kickers United's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Lind came free, but Edgar Niedbalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Gerdberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Västerås Heroes's zone, Conny Abelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otto Vennerström came out of the goal and Conny Abelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Claes Gunnarsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Solna Kickers United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Emanuel Gerdberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Otto Vennerström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Emanuel Gerdberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Solna Kickers United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Edgar Niedbalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilgot Nordal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Gerdberg in the 47th minute of play forced Västerås Heroes's goalkeeper Otto Vennerström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vilgot Nordal was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Gerdberg got free with Otto Vennerström in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Conny Abelsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Otto Vennerström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play.
