The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Västerås Heroes's Otto Vennerström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Jespersson in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Ljungans EIF getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jimmy Dalman hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Vilgot Nordal fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Tobias Blom was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vilgot Nordal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. If Leonardo Jespersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Västerås Heroes's goalkeeper Otto Vennerström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Timmy Lång fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Vennerström having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Håkan Lind hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Västerås Heroes's Tobias Blom threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vilgot Nordal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vilgot Nordal might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Blom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vilgot Nordal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute, Jon Söderberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tobias Blom was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Vilgot Nordal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vilgot Nordal to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Ljungans EIF's goal looked a bit too open when Vilgot Nordal came free, but Tobias Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vilgot Nordal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ljungans EIF's Hjalmar Norberg got a free kick in the 59th minute. Leonardo Jespersson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Otto Vennerström skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Vilgot Nordal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilgot Nordal scored 3-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobias Blom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Västerås Heroes fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Västerås Heroes's Vilgot Nordal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ljungans EIF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Västerås Heroes.
