An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Lundqvist in the 12th minute of play forced Trekanten's goalkeeper Erik Tomasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Josefsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Mathias Vassenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Vita Stjärnan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Åke Lindkvist to maneuver through the defense. When Elias Josefsson came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Trekanten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Josefsson couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Trekanten defense, Gösta Käller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Tomasson. The Trekanten fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Tomasson should have stopped the shot. A hard shot by Ludwig Ekeberg from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Mathias Vassenius's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Lindkvist in the 41st minute of play forced Trekanten's goalkeeper Erik Tomasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Tomasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Lundqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias Lundqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Josefsson in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mathias Vassenius saved Vita Stjärnan from getting behind. In the 53rd minute, Bengt-Åke Lindkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathias Vassenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Högberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Erik Tomasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Lundqvist in the 61st minute of play. Mathias Lundqvist struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Erik Tomasson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vita Stjärnan. In the 70th minute Mats Friberger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Vassenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Högberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vita Stjärnan reached it. The Vita Stjärnan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vita Stjärnan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
