Dan Nordal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Björk, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Åke Blomquist got free with Fredric Bäckman in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filip Björk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Nordal having to interfere. Filip Björk took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Nordal. Jan-Åke Blomquist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fredric Bäckman came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan-Åke Blomquist slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 41st minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Åke Blomquist to make the kick off. FC Thumatorp's Dan Nordal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save FC Thumatorp from getting a goal against them. Filip Björk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Nordal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Åke Blomquist in the 82nd minute of play forced Vitå's goalkeeper Fredric Bäckman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Westerberg hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
