Karl-Åke Wallander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mats Stålman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Linus Karlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Erik Tingelholm came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Vinterhagens IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Tingelholm couldn't finish the play. Gilbert Enegren struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Karl-Åke Wallander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vinterhagens IF. 25 minutes into the match, Jimmie Kaxe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Karl-Åke Wallander, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Eskilstuna's Alvar Brun got a free kick in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Gilbert Enegren managed to get in a good position for a shot. After having played for 45 minutes, Gilbert Enegren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinterhagens IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Enegren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Linus Karlberg was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jimmie Kaxe in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Åke Wallander saved Eskilstuna from getting behind. Börje Josefsson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Jimmie Kaxe notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Eskilstuna's Karl-Åke Wallander. Karl-Åke Wallander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 68 minutes, Sven-Ove Näver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The referee ignored Vinterhagens IF's protests and gave Christopher Lindqvist a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd match minute, Vinterhagens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Lindqvist to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Ove Näver was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Eskilstuna's Sven-Ove Näver got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvar Brun got free with Mats Stålman in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vinterhagens IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
