Spectators: 7250 (Terracing: 5439, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) Stig Lidström started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Sköldinge's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Forssell came free, but Lars-Erik Westerstrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gert Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Westerstrand having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, MF Pelister's Gert Josefsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars-Erik Westerstrand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of MF Pelister booed when Sköldinge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Spets didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ted Forssell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Lars-Erik Westerstrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stig Lidström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fredrik Kilström hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. MF Pelister's Ingmar Ferm shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lars-Erik Westerstrand but with some difficulty. In the 34th minute of the match, Ted Forssell tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lars-Erik Westerstrand saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Sköldinge's zone, Gert Josefsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars-Erik Westerstrand came out of the goal and Gert Josefsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gert Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Westerstrand having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ted Forssell in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars-Erik Westerstrand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ted Forssell was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Calle Gunnarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Calle Forss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stig Lidström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Melander having to interfere. David Melander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Lidström in the 72nd minute of the match. Joakim Spets's late challenge caught a MF Pelister's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joakim Spets helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sköldinge getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Joakim Spets hit a great ball. Lars-Erik Westerstrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Forssell, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Ted Forssell came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the MF Pelister fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ted Forssell couldn't finish the play. Ted Forssell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars-Erik Westerstrand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Calle Forss struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. David Melander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sköldinge. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
