Malte Clementsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Åke Hökqvist having to interfere. Tobias Melander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Haström charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Haström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Inter FK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tomas Haström hit a great ball. Karl-Åke Hökqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malte Clementsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Karl-Åke Hökqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Åke Ersman in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter FK's goalkeeper Roy Norberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Johan Bolander made a precise shot to the right of Karl-Åke Hökqvist. Holm RK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Lennart Thedin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Roy Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malte Clementsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Åke Ersman in the 37th minute of play forced Holm RK's goalkeeper Karl-Åke Hökqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Malte Clementsson in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Åke Hökqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Melander got free with Roy Norberg in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tobias Melander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Roy Norberg made a huge save. Karl-Åke Hökqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malte Clementsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. After the first half Inter FK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Åke Ersman made a kick off. When Tomas Haström was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. When Malte Clementsson came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Inter FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malte Clementsson couldn't finish the play. Bror Aspengren kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Malte Clementsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Karl-Åke Hökqvist however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 63 minutes, Johan Bolander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johan Bolander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Freddie Bergendahl fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Holm RK's protests and gave Freddie Bergendahl a yellow card for diving instead. Freddie Bergendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The long shot by Stig-Ove Enström in the 65th minute really tested Karl-Åke Hökqvist's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Malte Clementsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74thth minute of the game Tobias Melander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter FK's Roy Norberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lennart Thedin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roy Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Melander in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, Holm RK's Karl-Åke Hökqvist got control of the ball when Malte Clementsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Johan Bolander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malte Clementsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Karl-Åke Hökqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Leif Vallin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holm RK the free kick. In the 89th minute, Leif Vallin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malte Clementsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Inter FK's Karl-Åke Ersman got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Inter FK played a much better game than Holm RK and deserved their victory. The Holm RK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
