Spectators: 7140 (Terracing: 5356, Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Leif Olsson kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the match, Holm RK's Tobias Melander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfred Apelqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Salkin's goalkeeper Alfred Apelqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Leif Olsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Karl-Åke Hökqvist. Leif Olsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, FC Salkin's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Thedin came free, but Alfred Apelqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias Melander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Alfred Apelqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, FC Salkin's Karl-Åke Hökqvist threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leif Olsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FC Salkin's Alfred Apelqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Thedin in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Magne Juhlin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Salkin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holm RK the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Salkin's Magne Juhlin got a free kick in the 40th minute. Holm RK were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after FC Salkin's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vilhelm Blom took the corner. Tobias Melander scored 1-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfred Apelqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Holm RK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Lennart Thedin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfred Apelqvist. The goal made the score 1-3. Lennart Thedin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alfred Apelqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt Ekgren kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. FC Salkin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Lennart Thedin scored to the left of an out of position Alfred Apelqvist, making the score, 1-4. Tobias Melander hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Karl-Åke Hökqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leif Olsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Leif Olsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Salkin's supporters rose to their feet, but Leif Olsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Åke Hökqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Holm RK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
