The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arne Asserlindh might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Hellkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arne Asserlindh ran back to his position shaking his head. Falköping BF's Björn Billing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Flinck in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Viktor Flinck notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Falköping BF's Björn Billing. Björn Billing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 11 minutes of play, Tingsryd BK's Viktor Flinck made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Björn Billing was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 15 minutes of play, Tingsryd BK's Kasper Mattsson made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. John Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo-Erik Palmquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bo-Erik Palmquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rdth minute of the game Pär Hökqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tingsryd BK's John Hellkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tingsryd BK's zone, Arne Asserlindh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Hellkvist came out of the goal and Arne Asserlindh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Flinck in the 25th minute of play forced Falköping BF's goalkeeper Björn Billing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Hermansson struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. John Hellkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falköping BF. 1-3 became the score in the 34th minute when Pär Hökqvist elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Pär Hökqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but John Hellkvist made a huge save. John Hellkvist made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Arne Asserlindh sent off a good shot on target. Tingsryd BK's John Hellkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Tingsryd BK from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Tingsryd BK booed when Falköping BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Hermansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Börge Kinnman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Björn Billing showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pär Hökqvist made a kick off. Brian Stigsson hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Björn Billing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Flinck in the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of Tingsryd BK booed when Falköping BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Asserlindh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Tingsryd BK's Alexander Dalberg got a free kick in the 59th minute. Domingo Niguel's late challenge caught a Tingsryd BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingo Niguel helped the player get up and apologised. Tingsryd BK's Börge Kinnman got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Viktor Flinck made a precise shot to the right of Björn Billing. Falköping BF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Falköping BF's Björn Billing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Falköping BF from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd match minute, Tingsryd BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Stigsson to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Falköping BF's Pär Hökqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that John Hellkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Arne Asserlindh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Hellkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. After a rather tough play, Falköping BF's Domingo Niguel got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Bo-Erik Palmquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. John Hellkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pär Hökqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chants of Tingsryd BK echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Falköping BF had held the ball for most of the match.
