The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ture Wickander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Lund, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Ture Wickander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Lundkvist in the 7th minute of the match. Måns Ström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Markus Qvarnström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Måns Ström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Markus Qvarnström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Offerdal's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Palmquist came free, but Markus Qvarnström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Offerdal getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Dan Jönsson hit a great ball. Joel Klintæus was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ture Wickander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Lundkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Råneå IFK's Ture Wickander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Lundkvist in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Måns Ström got free with Markus Qvarnström in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Måns Ström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Qvarnström having to interfere. Harry Ahlroth succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Bo Palmquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Måns Ström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Offerdal were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 53 minutes, Måns Ström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Råneå IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Måns Ström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Markus Qvarnström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Palmquist in the 54th minute of play. Råneå IFK's Ture Wickander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Ahlroth in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Bo Palmquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Offerdal's zone, Bo Palmquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Qvarnström came out of the goal and Bo Palmquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bo Palmquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Harry Ahlroth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uno Benett hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Robert Lundkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Offerdal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Offerdal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
