Spectators: 6664 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stig-Arne Alebäck made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Södertälje booed when Sonics IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvin Willig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig-Arne Alebäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Emil Ålberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Stig-Arne Alebäck came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Södertälje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Arne Alebäck couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Erling Molander kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yngve Andersson. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Erling Molander received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yngve Andersson came out and tried to block the shot, but Erling Molander slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 29th minute. Stig-Arne Alebäck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Jörn Hylander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erling Molander to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sonics IF's Emil Ålberg got control of the ball when Jörn Hylander tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Södertälje's Jan-Olof Rosin got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Sonics IF's Rudolf Nilsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Emil Ålberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Arne Alebäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Ålberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stig-Arne Alebäck showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 60 minute of play. Erling Molander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Andersson having to interfere. Mårten Alebäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Yngve Andersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erling Molander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Andersson having to interfere. Sonics IF's Emil Ålberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Sonics IF from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Sonics IF's Vilhelm Lidström got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Niklas Vallman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sonics IF's Emil Ålberg didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Sonics IF's Emil Ålberg got control of the ball when Jörn Hylander tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Emil Ålberg managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Södertälje's Jörn Hylander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Arne Alebäck in the 85th minute of play forced Sonics IF's goalkeeper Emil Ålberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 97th minute of the match Jan-Olof Rosin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jan-Olof Rosin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Södertälje players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sonics IF.
