Spectators: 7288 (Terracing: 5468, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alvar Sandberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dick Skark kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. If Dick Skark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orvar Söderquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dick Skark in the 13th minute. Dick Skark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dick Skark struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Orvar Söderquist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Claret Blue FC. Torsten Larsfält took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Liljeström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes of play, Claret Blue FC's Dick Skark made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orvar Söderquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alvar Sandberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Robert Liljeström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Torsten Larsfält tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joakim Kielstedt took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Torsten Larsfält. Torsten Larsfält dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Dick Skark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orvar Söderquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dick Skark got free with Orvar Söderquist in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joakim Kielstedt to make the kick off. Robert Liljeström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Larsfält having to interfere. Skarpnäcks IK's Orvar Söderquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvar Sandberg in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Skarpnäcks IK's goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Sandberg came free, but Orvar Söderquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes Claret Blue FC got a freekick which was hit by Nils Eklund. Orvar Söderquist came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Claret Blue FC's Dick Skark. But to his dismay, Dick Skark quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 74th match minute, Claret Blue FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Ekrot to maneuver through the defense. Torsten Larsfält showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joakim Kielstedt in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Skark in the 80th minute of play forced Skarpnäcks IK's goalkeeper Orvar Söderquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joakim Kielstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Claret Blue FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Skarpnäcks IK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
