Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) Roy Sjö started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Folke Torstensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fjärdhundra's supporters rose to their feet, but Folke Torstensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulf Eckegren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Björköby's Ulf Eckegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Fristedt in the 6th minute of play. Ulf Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folke Torstensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Folke Torstensson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulf Eckegren. Björköby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Folke Torstensson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Fjärdhundra's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Börje Överman in the 17th minute. When Patrick Ståhlberg got free in front of the goal in the 22nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ulf Eckegren was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ulf Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Ståhlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Björköby's Roy Sjö got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Fjärdhundra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Hjelm to maneuver through the defense. Ulf Eckegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Torstensson in the 32nd minute of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Björköby's goalkeeper Ulf Eckegren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Folke Torstensson was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Folke Torstensson in the 55th minute of play forced Björköby's goalkeeper Ulf Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrick Ståhlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Folke Torstensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Kvick came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Björköby's Roy Sjö. But to his dismay, Roy Sjö quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Patrick Ståhlberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Ulf Eckegren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ulf Eckegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Folke Torstensson in the 71st minute of the match. After 73 minutes of play, Fjärdhundra's Patrick Ståhlberg made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulf Eckegren was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Björköby defense, Patrick Ståhlberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulf Eckegren. The Björköby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulf Eckegren should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Ståhlberg got free with Ulf Eckegren in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roy Sjö struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Jonas Kvick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Björköby. Simon Fristedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Fjärdhundra supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fjärdhundra would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
