Spectators: 7275 (Terracing: 5458, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kåre Jakobsson started the match with the kick off. Sebastian Smedfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Sixten Smitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henning Caspersson's late challenge caught a Byske's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henning Caspersson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Vretstorp getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Henning Caspersson hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thor Hård during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Vretstorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thor Hård to maneuver through the defense. Byske's Kåre Jakobsson got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Byske fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Sture Alegren shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Sebastian Smedfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kåre Jakobsson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Byske's Andy Dahlkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Benet in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes in the game, Kåre Jakobsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sixten Smitt having to interfere. Sebastian Smedfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Smitt having to interfere. If Sebastian Smedfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Benet to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Benet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Dahlkvist having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Byske was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskar Engström to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Smedfeldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Andy Dahlkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Byske got a freekick which was hit by Paul Lindqvist. Vretstorp's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sture Alegren in the 76th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Henning Caspersson heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 84th minute, Tomas Benet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Kåre Jakobsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Byske's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kåre Jakobsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andy Dahlkvist was a little too slow when Evert Vennerkvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-1. Andy Dahlkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Benet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tomas Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Vretstorp supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vretstorp would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
