Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Benet started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ronny Stigsson hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. When Tomas Benet fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vretstorp's protests and gave Tomas Benet a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Henry Lindberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pålsboda's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Lindberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sixten Smitt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 played minutes Vretstorp got a freekick which was hit by Dag Kolberg. Sixten Smitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Odeen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johan Bohlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Sixten Smitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Henry Lindberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd match minute, Pålsboda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inge Joensson to maneuver through the defense. Henry Lindberg struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Sixten Smitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pålsboda. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Lindberg was the one to do the kick off. If Henning Caspersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Sixten Smitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, one of Vretstorp:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Pålsboda a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Henry Lindberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vretstorp's Sixten Smitt. 1-0. After 61 minutes of play, Vretstorp's Henning Caspersson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henning Åkesson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 72 minutes, Dag Kolberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vretstorp and the Pålsboda players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Henry Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ove Tillman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evert Vennerkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Henning Åkesson made a huge save. Henry Lindberg scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sixten Smitt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Henry Lindberg put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sixten Smitt. In the 93rd minute Henry Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Smitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Odeen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Vretstorp's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Odeen came free, but Sixten Smitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pålsboda's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
