Spectators: 7300 (Terracing: 5477, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sven-Oskar Dahlberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eddie Walroth having to make a save. In the 10th minute, Sven-Oskar Dahlberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute, Olof Persson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, FC Brotorp's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Magnusson came free, but Eddie Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match Peter Nyman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eddie Walroth showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bo Åkesson struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Olle Bäckman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Brotorp. Bo Åkesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Olle Bäckman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Löfdahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michael Löfdahl got free with Olle Bäckman in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 34 minutes of play, FC Brotorp's Michael Löfdahl made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olle Bäckman was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Holsbybrunn IF's zone, Bo Åkesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olle Bäckman came out of the goal and Bo Åkesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of FC Brotorp booed when Holsbybrunn IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fritz Vikström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Tobias Kalfhage shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olle Bäckman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eddie Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Magnusson in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Kent Magnusson made the kick off in the second half. Bo Åkesson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olle Bäckman having to make a save. In the 63rd minute, Fritz Vikström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Holsbybrunn IF's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Åkesson came free, but Olle Bäckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Löfdahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Magnusson in the 70th minute of play forced FC Brotorp's goalkeeper Eddie Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olle Bäckman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Åkesson in the 77th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Sven-Oskar Dahlberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Michael Löfdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olle Bäckman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
