In the 4th minute, JFC's Tommy Smefeldt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gunnar Örtendahl. Gunnar Örtendahl yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Åkersberga IFK's Sigvard Ek got a free kick in the 11th minute. After recieving a nice pass, JFC's Ivar Wik tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tommy Smefeldt struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Gunnar Örtendahl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JFC. Ingmar Tholsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Säfström, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Jimmy Utfal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Säfström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Arne Molander charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Gunnar Örtendahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Smefeldt in the 41st minute of play. Manfred Carlsson in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gunnar Örtendahl, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With an all-out effort, JFC's Gunnar Örtendahl threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ivar Wik, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

Manfred Carlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gunnar Örtendahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunnar Örtendahl came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by JFC's Manfred Carlsson. But to his dismay, Manfred Carlsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 68 minutes into the game, Åkersberga IFK's Hugo Säfström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ingmar Tholsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfred Carlsson in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gunnar Örtendahl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Carlsson in the 75th minute of play forced Åkersberga IFK's goalkeeper Gunnar Örtendahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of JFC booed when Åkersberga IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Arne Molander didn't get a good kick on the ball. JFC's Alvar Glad couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Åkersberga IFK. If David Hegg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The JFC fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when JFC's Manfred Carlsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, JFC's Ingmar Tholsson got control of the ball when Hugo Säfström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manfred Carlsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gunnar Örtendahl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. David Hegg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Smefeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Örtendahl having to interfere. JFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
