The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Äng got a freekick which was hit by Ture Stephansson. When Barca FC's Henrik Hägg, in the 4th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Barca FC. Barca FC's Edwin Strand suffered a concussion after 6 minutes and had to leave the field. 6 minutes into the game, Ulf Hedin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Äng's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barca FC the free kick. The supporters of Barca FC booed when Äng was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Hedin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ture Stephansson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Albohm in the 15th minute of play forced Barca FC's goalkeeper Kent Kristiansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Äng's Andy Vik in 17 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Kent Kristiansson guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 21st minute, Lars Albohm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fredrik Alstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Albohm in the 23rd minute of play forced Barca FC's goalkeeper Kent Kristiansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Albert Fagrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Fredrik Alstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magne Löfkvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kent Kristiansson. Barca FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lars Albohm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kent Kristiansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andy Vik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kent Kristiansson having to make a save. Andy Vik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Kristiansson having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Fredrik Alstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henrik Hägg was the one to do the kick off. Andy Vik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Kristiansson having to interfere. Lars Albohm's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Kent Kristiansson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lars Albohms short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Kent Kristiansson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Andy Vik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Kristiansson having to interfere. Andy Vik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Andy Vik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Äng's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Vik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kent Kristiansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Barca FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Albert Fagrell hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the game, Albert Fagrell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Äng the free kick. Äng played a much better game than Barca FC and deserved their victory. The Barca FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
