Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Nimes's Per-Erik Viberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Per-Erik Viberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kalle Helander was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Robin Rolandsson hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Kalle Helander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Pilblad in the 13th minute of play. When Per-Erik Viberg came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the FC Nimes fans jumped to their feet. Per-Erik Viberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Helander having to interfere. Gustav Markusson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Erik Sjöberg in the 19th minute of the match. FC Nimes's Gustav Markusson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Nimes from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Erik Sjöberg in the 24th minute of play forced FC Nimes's goalkeeper Gustav Markusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Erik Sjöberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Alfta's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kalle Helander came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Nimes's Per-Erik Viberg. But to his dismay, Per-Erik Viberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 45 minutes into the match, FC Nimes's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Erik Sjöberg came free, but Gustav Markusson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes in the game, Karl-Erik Sjöberg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gustav Markusson having to interfere. Roland Söderqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Gustav Markusson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Gustav Markusson came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Alfta's Karl-Erik Sjöberg. But to his dismay, Karl-Erik Sjöberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 57th match minute, Alfta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Haeger to maneuver through the defense. Sven Haeger's late challenge caught a FC Nimes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Haeger helped the player get up and apologised. Karl-Erik Sjöberg struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Gustav Markusson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alfta. A collision led to FC Nimes getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Greger Danielsson hit a great ball. If Wilhelm Pilblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 71 minutes, Wilhelm Pilblad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Nimes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilhelm Pilblad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Per-Erik Viberg came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the FC Nimes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Erik Viberg couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Per-Erik Viberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Nimes's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Erik Viberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kalle Helander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per-Erik Viberg in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kalle Helander saved Alfta from getting behind. Wilhelm Pilblad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Helander having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, one of Alfta:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Billy Nyström shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After a rather tough play, FC Nimes's Einar Hammarström got a free kick in the 99th minute. Gustav Markusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Erik Sjöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
