Viggo Björklund's late challenge caught a Kärrtorp United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Claes Dahlberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Henrik Blomqvist. The goal made the score 1-0. Henrik Blomqvist didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 23rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. If Gilbert Beckström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Claes Dahlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kärrtorp United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claes Dahlberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mårten Åberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Immortal FC's Mårten Åberg got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Kärrtorp United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gösta Lindqvist to maneuver through the defense. Börje Hökqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Söderqwist in the 42nd minute of play. Henrik Blomqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Beckström in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match Kärrtorp United got a corner. Immortal FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mikael Ugla ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Mikael Ugla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Henrik Blomqvist quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mårten Åberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Mårten Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Hökqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Immortal FC's Mårten Åberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Börje Hökqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Henrik Blomqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Dahlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Immortal FC's goalkeeper Henrik Blomqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henrik Blomqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Beckström in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claes Dahlberg in the 74th minute of play forced Immortal FC's goalkeeper Henrik Blomqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrik Blomqvist came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Kärrtorp United's Gilbert Beckström. But to his dismay, Gilbert Beckström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Henrik Blomqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Dahlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bengt-Rune Söderqwist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börje Hökqvist having to interfere. If Claes Dahlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
