In the 7th minute, Ingvar Örnberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robin Brogren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Larsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Roger Larsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robin Brogren was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Lars-Erik Olsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Brogren having to interfere. Robin Brogren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Larsson in the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to FC Merkelen BoIS getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Lars-Erik Olsman hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

If Roger Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Edane's Otto Överman got a free kick in the 56th minute. FC Merkelen BoIS's Kalle Lindholm couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 57th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Edane. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Beck in the 61st minute of play forced FC Merkelen BoIS's goalkeeper Marcus Eliasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Merkelen BoIS booed when Edane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Hellqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Brogren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Larsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Anton Hammarberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Merkelen BoIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anton Hammarberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robin Brogren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Larsson in the 71st minute of the match. Roger Larsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robin Brogren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Robin Brogren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Larsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Merkelen BoIS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
