Spectators: 6676 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Beck started the match with the kick off. If Robert Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sören Utter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Beck in the 5th minute of the match. When Manfred Haglund fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Häger's protests and gave Manfred Haglund a yellow card for diving instead. Manfred Haglund hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Harald Danielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otto Överman's late challenge caught a FC Häger's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otto Överman helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the FC Häger defense, Daniel Beck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sören Utter. The FC Häger fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sören Utter should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Beck in the 21st minute of play forced FC Häger's goalkeeper Sören Utter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ingvar Örnberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes FC Häger got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Karlstedt. Daniel Beck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sören Utter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Egon Pettersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robin Brogren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egon Pettersson ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Edane's zone, Egon Pettersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Brogren came out of the goal and Egon Pettersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Edane booed when FC Häger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Danielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Edane were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egon Pettersson made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Egon Pettersson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robin Brogren. Edane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egon Pettersson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Harald Danielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Brogren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egon Pettersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Axelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edane's Robin Brogren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egon Pettersson in the 66th minute of play. Robert Axelsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robin Brogren having to make a save. After 71 played minutes, FC Häger's Kevin Karlstedt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robin Brogren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Häger reached it. Edane's Otto Överman got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Otto Överman off the ground. After having played for 73 minutes, Egon Pettersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Häger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egon Pettersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ingvar Örnberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sören Utter firmly grabbed it by the left post. Egon Pettersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Brogren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egon Pettersson in the 85th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Fredrik Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Axelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Robin Brogren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
