Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roger Larsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Larsson in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sören Utter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Axelsson got free with Marcus Eliasson in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Robert Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jakob Ahlgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sören Utter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Kalle Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fritz Rönn was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of FC Häger booed when FC Merkelen BoIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars-Erik Olsman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of FC Häger:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Merkelen BoIS:s goal. 38 minutes into the match, FC Häger's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Larsson came free, but Sören Utter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Jakob Ahlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Merkelen BoIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jakob Ahlgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sören Utter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Larsson in the 41st minute of the match. Roger Larsson took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sören Utter. Sören Utter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egon Pettersson was the one to do the kick off. If Jakob Ahlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Egon Pettersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Lars-Erik Olsman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Merkelen BoIS's goalkeeper Marcus Eliasson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Merkelen BoIS's Anton Hammarberg got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 74th play minute Jakob Ahlgren came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sören Utter. 0-3. Sören Utter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Larsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. FC Häger's Sören Utter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kalle Lindholm in the 83rd minute of play. Egon Pettersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcus Eliasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egon Pettersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
